slam the hell out of your car, and get some wheels with low offsets that go flush with the fender :http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=12533

the misconception is that you need a kit. if anything, any kit made for a cb7 is the antithesis of vip style as:
      1. the car is already not of a vip platform (big body sedan, rear wheel drive)
      2. kits tend to be of poor quality, poor fit, and detract from the clean lines of the car
      3. the kit will hinder you from slamming the car

being that the car is not rear wheel drive, the best thing you can do is again to slam the car, and get wheels with good fitment. if you don't have the both of those, your car will not be vip styled.

        ^ good info there elliot.

ron has just VIP-ed his Q45. you may remember him of being the owner of the red MKIII supra on volk AV3s and the fusha s13 widebody convertible on 20s. come down to TAB to see it!

As far as I know, there's no kind of 'vip style' kits available for us 4th gens, not even rare ones.

I know there's plenty of 5th gen vip kits from japan, and it makes me gawk everytime I see one. I've always been a fan of vip styling, crazy camber and ridiculous offsets.

I guess if you have the time and money, what you could do is custom mold a kit patterned after your favorite kit from another car.

Here's a few examples of some 5th gens:

                  favorite, by far:

sick Azec grill variation :coolguy: , paint is bananas

                  widebody? :eek3:

                  :nice:

I'm sure it's infinitely easier to walk into a performance shop in japan and ask them to custom fab a vip kit, since that's been part of their culture for decades, over here it'll probably take a lot more time and money. But anything is possible with the right funds and knowhow.

while indeed those cars are hot, and some would say vip styled, there is no need to have a kit in order to execute a vip style.

the 1st 2 rules of vip styling are:
                    1. getting low as hell
                    2. well fitting wheels, i.e. wheels with low offsets.

regardless of what kit is or isn't on the car, if it's not low and the wheels don't fit well, it will not be considered vip.

hell, enough people have cars that are considered vip chassis (big body sedans, rear wheel drive) but aren't considered vip because they're car's simply are not low enough, and the wheels aren't wide enough. some would say, if it ain't low and wide, it ain't vip.

again, if you want to go vip style with a cb7/cb9, the best bet is to get a set of coilovers or air suspension, and get some wheels that have offsets in the 20s. a kit isn't going to cut it, and a kit should be the last thing you do. work on the stance, work on the wheels, your way ahead in the game.

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Don't take this the wrong way CustomLowz, but that's not really VIP. It's low as hell, no doubt, and a good looking car. But the offset on the wheels is really high, and they're not that wide. The fender's aren't even rolled(are they?). Plus I think the paint is a little wild for most VIPs. Not to say that you have to exactly follow a certain crowd's formula, but you DO have to have the basics.

Edit: Looks like the back fender's rolled a little.

taken from another forum dedicated to vip styling:

A VIP car is one of the following:

Toyota - Celsior (Lexus LS), Crown Majesta or Athlete, Aristo (Lex GS)

NISSAN - Cima (Infiniti Q45), Cedric / Gloria (Inf. M45), Fuga ('06 Inf. M45/35), President.

Occasionally Mazda Sentia's (929) are included in the group.

These are the accepted Japanese VIP chasis cars and 99% of what you see in VIP / EXE magazines. All are full size cars, RWD, and often V8 (some of the JDM versions come with V6's).

VIP style is evolving, but it's generally very low, wide, staggared wheels with low offsets that put the wheels flush with the body or even sticking out a bit. In the past it was more extreme with wide fender flares and whale tales, but lately it's been going in the more conservative body EXE (Executive) direction, subtle lips, but still very low. Exhaust can be huge, but it depends on the style of the car you're going for, so many are subtle and blend with the classy look. Interior treatments are very important too, Fusa straps, curtains, leather and a nice sound and video system, somewhere you love to spend time.
My personal observation: I've never seen a car considered 'vip' that didn't have at least a full body lip kit
