Guilty of Bondo

I'm crazy, and I woke up today and decided to do bodywork. Keep in mind I have no idea how to do body work. But I printed out the DIY and off it was to AUTOZONE for the materials. Started with the rust removal on the trunk, stripped/sanded/bondo'd(?)/filed/shaped/primed/painted...and it was horrible. I mean the rust looked 100X better than what I had just done to the car. I can't even explain how bad it was, thank God I didn't take any pics...I would be the laughing stock of the board like pretty_RICKY is...lol... anywany...I decided to shape/sand/paint the trunk again just because I didn't want to look like an asshole on the streets. But overall i think the product is fine...tomorrow I destroy my car by attempting the infamous quarter panels...i'll keep it updated.

just make sure you use the right sandpaper and take yer time.

first time i did bondo i used the wrong paper and it turned out all crappy. but now i use the good stuff and it's sweeet. bondo is still no replacement for good ol fashioned metal tho :|

i'm thinkin i'm gonna experiment with a lil fiberglassing on my rear quarter this spring.

I recently did fiberglass and bondoing for the 1st time and I did a pretty good job. I actually did alt of research and then tackled it step by step and I was very impressed. Patient is virtue when it comes to fiberglassing and bondoing...........
