Any clue how to fix my hood problem?

    Teh linky http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...light=chan_man

If you notice I have major hood alignment problems. See I don't know if its because of the hood or the latch catch itself. Any help?? I would def appreciate it.

    1. run your finger along the hood and fender up by the windshield, the curve from the hood should blend right into the curve of the fender.

    2. stand in front of the car and look at the gap between the fender and the hood. Each side should have equal gap front to back.

    3. ***this ones probably your solution. Open the hood, front corners of radiator support there are black round plastic knobs about the diameter of a quarter. Turn these up and down to get the hood aligned with the fenders.

The only way to align the hood height at the back is with washers.

The hood height adjustment knobs hold the hood up. If yours are gone the hood should be low and will wobble in the wind when driving down the road. In the pictures it looks like the hood is high.

Well i found it its not the knob its the hood latch when i press down on the hood it pops up. WTF? How can I fix it so when I push down on the hood it locks down. The hood latch does lock but it pops up. Consider it as a spring you push down on it it goes down and then when you let go it pushes up. This is what its doing.

on some cars i know if you loosen the 3 or so bolts that support the latch, and you tap it lightly you can move it downward that might help a little bit, not sure if we can do it with our cars

Same thing happens to me. When there's sunlight tomorrow I'll take a little vid to show how to get it to latch.

Try to lower the latch or loosen the 2 10mm bolts holding the hood and push it up (closer to the windshield) and retighten. The hood could be sticking forward too far. Hope that helps.
