paint mirrors

do i need to remove my side mirrors in order to paint them, or can i just tape off things that i dont want to hit. later.

If you're lazi like me, i'd get some masking tape and paint, but I'd feel more comfortable taking the whole thing off.

well mostly i was just wondering if the pain would run... also i went to the parts store to get paint that matches mine and my car color is pewter grey metallic and the bottle said medium grey metallic... it looks identical but what do you guys think.?? later.
