Maple's Second Rust fix Thread

Well guys Im at it again. Fixing the rust on my 93 coupe. As some of you know I tryed fixing my white accord but I just kinda gave up becuase I didn't have the knowlage or the right supplys to do this.

But yeah I started yesterday night. Took the bumper off and im like holy shit. It's worst then my white car. While taking bumper off I broke the two bolts that are attached to the bumper reinforcment thats under the car. Stupid rusted Bolts

Then I started griding away the rust with a drill with a grinder thing 80 grit I think it is. I lost my glasses to use so I didnt really get alot done until i find them today or get a new pair. Yeah metal in my eye is a no no.


Yes I know it will come back. So far I have Bondo, a grate thing to shave the bondo away, fiberbondo, tape, tons and tons of sandpaper, little sanding block, rust preventer, lots o primer, and i have a lil paint left.

Ill post pictures of everything I have etc. It was just getting dark out and I couldnt see. I plan on finishing the drivers side tonight.. the worst side. and i have this metal you can use that bondo will stick better to.

Yeah for advanced auto!

Sounds good. You said you know the rust will come back, but if you are grinding away all the rust then it shouldn't come back for awhile right?

good luck on the rust fix, im attempting to fix the passanger side today... trying something different instead of rivits, im trying some jb weld + aluminum....

Yeah I just shaved my antenna today

Bodywork will start once im out of school! In another week.

Then I gotta get the car painted after.

The rust is soooo bad on my car though it sucks ass
