CB fallen in the field... :(

Here's my CB after the wreck...

Here's where whatever the hell that thing is got pushed into the fan belt cam:

It's not pushing against it enough to cause any real damage but it makes one hellacious noise.

Here's where the control arm got busted:

I'm fixing that either this weekend or next week, whenever the new control arms come in the mail.

How can I beat out the part that's grinding into the fan belt? I don't care if it looks pretty, I just don't want the two parts up against each other like that, and I don't want to pay to take it to a collision repair place.

I'm going to get a new fender, front bumper, and probably hood too, although the hood isn't a big priority, it still works. It's still flat and shit, it's just where the other car hit me the metal got pushed up so the hood can't go down all the way and latch down. I guess I'm going to have to redneck it out with some chickenwire or something, until I can fix that.

Guess I'll be trying that $50 paintjob for real pretty soon too, eh?

Oh well, she'll be up on her feet again pretty soon!

You've got some good damage there man. You might end up having to change the radiator support, but you won't know until you get the bumper/headlights off. That "box" thats up next to your power steering pump is the module for your cruise control. If I was you, I'd lose it all together. Anyways, good luck with the project man, cause it can be done.

hmm if the cruise control modulator (that box rubbing against your power steering pump/belt) is resting that close it looks like your frame is bent. this may be a hard one to fix. i hope your knuckle is ok too.

that silver pump thingy? the pictures got messed up, i'll have to fix it

Well I dont care as long as I can still drive the thing. If I can get a hammer and beat it away from the gear to where they arent rubbing I'll be happy. It'll either be that or I'll have to take off the fender and drill a hole and use a few selftapping screws to pull it away.

That metal pump thing against the cam is the cruise control? It's not the power steering pump? It leads off into the car's interior.

If it's cruise control then can I just take it off? lol.
            repost of picture:

Radiator support was kinda iffy even before the wreck. I can grab it and move it around with the hood popped open. I could probably pull it right out if I wanted to. Oh well. It's missing a few bolts in the top I think.

I just hope the steering alignment isnt incredibly horrible once I fix this thing.

I'm going to buy a new set of rotors, pads, and shims too and change all those while ive got the wheels off doing the control arms.

Yup that cam thing is the powersteering belt which is pressed up closely on the cruisecontrol unit. The control arm you can do yourself you can take the fender out yourself your gonna need a new headlight and hood front bumper cornerlight and fender best of luck total if you fix it yourself abut 250

I'll be getting amber corners off of ebay for sure, I wanted a pair of those anyway. As far as fender and bumper I PMed you and I'm looking into all possible outlets for that stuff.

I already bought a set of new upper control arms and I'm going to also get new rotors and pads and shims and just do all that while I got the wheels off.

So I can just take that big silver pump thingy, the cruise control, off? I'll never use it. I don't think it even works in the first place. If I can take that off, will I have to mess with some other shit to get everything to work or can I just unbolt it and undo it and leave it at that? *runs off looking for haynes manual*

As for the hood, the hood is dented on top but not on the bottom. It doesnt shut all the way because the metal rim thingy on bottom, next to the headlights, is pushed up. I'll have to beat that down with something to get the hood to latch again. I don't wanna run around with duct tape on my car. lol.

thanks to everyone for the advice and such, I really appreciate it.
