    Finally removed painted on pin-stripes.

I finally took the initiative to remove those tan and brown pin-stripes. I followed advice using a razor blade, but that idea did not work out to well. However, I recieved some advice from our car wash manager, and he suggested that I wet sand them off. It worked beautifully. I used a really rough sand paper (360 grit, if you try this, do not go as rough as I did, try like 600+), but it took them off perfectly. Now I know you all are like you must of scratch the hell out of the paint. Not really, I was very careful. It took me about 2 hours to do the whole thing. There were scratchs, so I went out and got some Turtle Wax polishing compoud. It made it look like they were almost never there. Well, I have to finish compounding tommorow attributable to the sun going down on me. Only side effect is that there will be lines of the original paint that were never harmed but the elements because the stripes were protecting the paint. But it looks really great, and you can't tell form more than about 3 feet away. I am very proud.

Yeah its never a good idea to take a razor blade to your paint. I've used Acrysol and that works pretty good, but thats mostly for glue or overspray removal. Good work on removing it

Yeah a clay bar is really good to get rid of any impediments before you wax your car, but you have to make sure it's well lubricated before applying it. Also make sure that the clay bar is clean because if there's dirt or something in the clay and you rub it on your paint, it can leave scratches
