urgent!! 92-93 bumper cover wont fit!!!

i have a stock 92-93 bumper cover for my 91, i have been trying to put it on and it wont fit over the 91 steel bumper do i need to get the 92-93 steel bumper? i need help as soon as possible gotta have this done today..

I do believe you need the 91 bumper support bar, but I could be wrong. I've never done a swap before.

thats what i have and it`s not working..the place in the bumper cover that the support bar is supposed to fit is about an inch smaller than the 91 so the support bar will not physically fit inside of the bumper cover..

I think he ment u need a 92 93 bumper support. But im not sure

you HAVE to have the right bumper support. The 90-91 bumper support is THICKER than the 92-93. Just thought I would reply since I just helped a friend rebuild his 92

dude ive totally done that swap, i used my old bumper support from my 90 and the 92/93 cover fit. try takin the cover off, then attaching the cover to the support with those plastic screw things. then mount it back onto the car. i did that cuz people told me it wouldnt work and it came out fine. id give that a shot first b4 trying to get another bumper support

that was the first thing i tried..but the place where the plastic screws go on the cover is angled unlike the one on my OEM cover which is straight, and the support will not physically fit inside the space provided it`s too small. i tried forcing it in there and i tried bending the lip where the screws go so it would be straight but it just wont work for me.

This is one of my concerns right now as well, as my 90LX is being painted. I got a 93 EX bumper..
and I'm afraid I may need to buy the 92/93 bumper support as well .. my painter seems to think it'll work ..
but as my luck always goes .. lol ...

same here......worked just fine. fit snugly, bolted directly, rollin' ACCORDingly
