dash swap!!!!

ok the dash out of a lude into are cb... Who has done it?? any pics how hard.. i have a 92 ex so most of the stuff would be the same for the lude... any ideas or answers will be great.....

but didn't work completely, not sure

i believe ProJect had a 5th gen. Prelude dash in his. someone else did too, but i'm not sure who.

ok yeah i tried searching my ass off... all i found was 97 and up dash swaps.... just woundering about the 4th gens... 92 - 96...... thanks guys. and i think its going to be hard as hell..... yeah.... any other ideas will be great.... thanks!!!

the OP asked about a dash swap, that is, the dash board.
what people commonly swap from ludes and newer accords is the gauge cluster. a dash board swap would most likely be pretty intense since the size probably wouldnt be just right and it most likely wouldnt line up with the cb's door panels. as for the cluster swap, its all about rewiring. theres a DIY for cluster swaps on here, but the dash swap would be tough.

Plus it wont be factory and im more than positive you'll have to ghetto-rigg something up.

id rather invest the money in some JDM headlights =).

and good luck trying to put a 4th gen lude dash in there. have you seen one before? they are curved to the front windshield and have all electronics stretched across the whole thing. that would be way too much trouble IMO.

4dr makes no difference, the dashes are the exact same for coupes and sedans.

i personally dont even think the 4th gen prelude dash looks good at all, but if you do, more power to you. preludes are a little wider than accords, so you would have to modify the dash quite a bit. the best way of doing it is probably to fiberglass the whole thing, cut/modify it how you need, then glass it back together and wrap with leather or vinyl (or just prep and paint the fiberglass). otherwise, i cant really think of a way to heavily modify a honda dash without making it look like hacked-up ass.

yeah i have seen them i have 2 of them sitting in my ludes.... one of them is getting scrapped out.. i have all the stuf i need.. but damn all that shit i would have to do... its alot. and i still dont think it will work right...
