    legend steering wheel

just wondering if anyone has tried putting a legend wheel in thier cb7. im looking into trying this with mine and wanted to see if anyone has done it before i go and try for myself.

i have a legend head unit for my car and it would be nice to rig up some steering wheel controls to go with it, plus a leather wrapped wheel thats not all beat to hell like mine would be nice. wiring shouldnt be TOO much of an obstical, im mainly concerned if the splines on the legend wheel are the same as the accord column. anyone know?

it's got a big acura logo in the middle of it, but if that's what you're looking for than hook it up homie!

That might look sweet minus the acura symbol. I like the look of the 89 leather wraped prelude si steering wheel.

Is the diameter the same or the interior shade match up? If you could wire up the audio controls on the wheel that would be sweet. I don't know if there's anything but wires but make sure you get those from the wheel donor. If you completely go against te idea, let me know and I'll sell you an OEM leather wheel out of my car that's in good condition.

i went to the the junkyard today and i now know that the legend wheel WILL NOT fit on a 90 or 91 cb7, im still not sure about the 92-93's since they have an airbag might possibly have a different spline size. i know the 5th gens use a different size spline for their wheels, so i might be able to pull it off by using a newer steering column as well.

im pretty sure that i can use the accord airbag, so no acura emblem. and i would have to use the legend cable reel. might have to change cruise control units because the legend has a cancel button on the cruise at the wheel.

ok from what ive found out the tl's radio doesnt offer steering wheel controls like i thought, the blue plug that the legend radios have for steering wheel controls looks exactly like the one on the back of my radio, but it seems its for the stock tweeters.

i did find a legend steering wheel at the junk yard and the splines are the same but the clock spring is very different. i gave up on it after i found the radio controls wont work with my radio anyway.

i did pick up a black leather vigor wheel as well and it bolted right in. same clockspring and everything. the air bag is a different size from ours though so i have to go back and get one from a vigor. otherwise it looks and feels great. ill have some pics up soon..
