    Cup holders and rearview mirror

I need help with a few things. First my cupholders come out too far, and it will not stay latched when I push it back in.. Can anyone help?

Also I saw the earlier thread about the rearview falling becuase of the subs but my rearview is just loose and falls from the vibration of highway driving. How big are these screws that are up in the bottom of the rearview? I tried a flathead screwdriver and hit something then fell off of it and felt like I had the screwdriver in between the screw and the rearview itself. I noticed on the other thread that it says to use a phillips head screwdriver so I am going to try that. Any help with both of these problems would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Guys!

Try using a phillips head screwdriver, instead of a flat.

and replace the cupholder, or take it out and see whats wrong with it. ive had to reassemble mine a couple times... take it out, open it up, and clean all of the pieces, and reassemble... its annoying to roll and hold the spring, but its not hard.

Thanks for the help guys. I was just thinking about taking that apart Mike. You read my mind. I was helping her earlier trying to get everything together so she can bring her CB to the KC meet on Saturday. Should be at least 10 CB7's. Pretty good for KC. I noticed just the little bit that I rode with her today that just in stop and go traffic that rearview mirror falls even just from the stop and go traffic. It really is loose. I will try and use a phillips head on it later. Does anyone happen to know approx. how big these screws are? Thanks in advance. Later

It was good you all gave us suggestions. This was almost 2 months ago and we finally got it fixed and the mirror will not be going anywhere for a while. The only thing i have to do next is my cup holder! Prolly wait until I have a garage or it gets warmer! Thanks for the help!

So how is the rearview mirror working out for you? Is it still to tight? LMK. Later

yeah...the rearview uses a plastic ball and socket joint. Mine did the same thing when I bought the car. I swapped it for the one in my old prelude. Almost identical, except its a lot tighter and stays in place, but the arm is a tad longer, so I had to shim it so it wouldn't hit the windshield. Works great and now I have a JDM rearview mirror

I had to completely disassemble my cupholder, clean it, reassemble and lube it (lots of crude and a penny stuck in it :P ). Works great now, but it can still pop out completely on occasion.

there are 2 little holes on the bottom side of the mirror. you stick a tiny philips head screw driver in there and tighten them. later.

Yes I believe you can. Also, I think this works for non-USDM models with LHD as well.
