maybe ive lost my mind but i swear ive seen a picture of a 4th gen with a center console with an armrest built in....but ive been looking and i cant find it....does this exist? anyone got a pic and where i can find one? what model did it come on????????

no, u arent losing ur mind. the 92-93 LX and EX came with an armrest attached to the side of the driver seat. the DX didnt have this armrest... so it was an option to get a center console with an armrest built into it, and it was a cool armrest... it was a box that u can open up and put stuff in (i want one.)

the 90-91's had a shortened center console, which stopped before the ebrake... and the ebrake wasnt off to the side like it was in the 9293's, it was in the center... so you can not swap in a 9293 console or armrest into a 9091. because it had half of a console, it had no console-based armrest at all. im not sure if they had an arm rest attached to the driver seat or not.

also the wagons (all wagon years followed the 9091 styles) had the 9091-style centered ebrake, but came with an arm rest similar to the optional 9293 DX ones... so it looked like a 9293 DX armrest console, just with a misplaced ebrake handle.

if you have a 9293 and want the console ebrake, get it from the 9293 DX. if you have a 9091 and want it, get it from a wagon

** of course i havent compared every make model and year, but the above info is what ive seen to hold pretty true... but im sure someone is gonna chime in with an exception... so someone needs to correct anything if im wrong **

ok thanx, i have a 93 ex, so ill look for a 93 DX console, do you know where i can find one??

I managed to find one in the boneyard, but it was in pretty rough shape, all moldy and with the cushion ripped up... I just cleaned it up and had it reupholstered, and it's good as new. Mine is the 92-93 one with the storage box under the armrest pad. Snag one if you can!

No. They have all been discontinued. The only places left are wrecking yards. And maybe Ebay, but I NEVER see ours on there. Lots of Civic and Tegs, but no 4G Accords.

Thats not true...When I was looking for one...they had them on ebay. I currently have a gray 93 Accord EX center console in my garage. I salavaged it from my first Accord. If anyone is interested in buying it, please PM me. It does have the cup holder which slides smooth. Good luck on finding one.

,i have a 91 ex with a arm rest.so its not just the 92-93's.i have a rare one though,because my boy has a 91 ex with no arm rest.so i guess i'm lucky.i love it though,especially in the city i wouldnt trade it for the world.oh ya by the way my arm rest is built into the back of the ebrake center console,not the seat,and yes it does open for storage.

i got the same thing. 91 Ex with a center armrest that is part of the console.. i will try to take a pic tomorrow. I love my armrest

will you guys with the 90-91 armrest take a few pics? I have one too, but i bought it afterwards. It doesn't seem very sturdy, almost as if a part is missing. Pics from an actual accord with this setup would help me lots.

I know im bringing this thread up from the dead, i was searching on this topic and theres no point on my starting a whole new thread, right?

so my question, i have a chance to grab a hold of a 91EX-R center console with the armrest that opens up with the storage space. now i have a 92-EX-R with the regular arm rest on the side of the seat, and im just wondering is it even possible for the 91 center piece to fit in the 92? and im sure my seat armrest will cause a restriction right?

Yeah, you need a seat with no armrest.
