yea that would be tite.Hey I have a question on the shifter. Is it a push down type of shifter or do you just have to move it?

nah no pushing down, just "Klank"...lol just move it to R-P-N you know, thats why i used a manuel knob instead of the automatic.

i doubt thats the reason for "hating" on it.

some people will like it, some people wont like it. everyone is entitled to their opinion. and posting your DIY modifications for everyone to see, is asking for peoples opinions. i dont see a problem as people are stating their opinions in a somewhat respectful manner.....

i prefer autos cuz i drive in town alot and shifting is too much work for me 7 days a week , manuals are fun for a while, but my cb isn't exactly a weekend warrior, so i'll keep my auto , i still think this diy looks nice though, maybe you should try shortening the shifter a little? give that shift boot a lil slack grats on the mod though!

Thanks "CB7SHOT" & Thanks for the comments you guys. i am going to follow up on the "short shifter DIY" i'm going to review the thread tonight.

The reason i drive an Automatic car is because i got into a car accident about 3 years ago. i was driving my cousin's 99 civic Si one saturday night and i was getting on a highway entrance that had a sharp turn speed limit was 25mph and since my cousin always bragged about his Si's handeling and how one day he took it 80mph so i was like ok then i took the sharp turn at 80mph and hit the wall HARD! i broke my shin! i had to get it replaced and i got 4 screws! even since then my left leg get numb once and a while and i loose some feeling, so thats why i went with the cb7, a 2.2 automatic honda thats some what fast stock. i tried going stick with my 91 civic hatch, but sold it a month later i cant drive stick!

just set your transmission up with a 2800 stall on your auto then you'll be set to peel some rubber, lol..stinx about the shin, but now you know better than to drive like that my friend got in a wreck a while ago, landed on her tailbone hard...now she has to drive with hand controls anyways, i just bookmarked a shiftboot and a shifter knob (one with a spring in it) and after i get paid, ima buy em, make sure you post up a thread or an update if you shorten that shifter
