    "Best" Red/Clear Brand

I know what they are, i know where to get em.

Ive chosen to go the Ebay route. If anyone thinks i shouldnt, please speak now. Lol.

    Price really isnt that much of an issue, its brand name. Right now Ebay has like 5 "brands";

    x3Racing
    MakotoAutoTrends
    ZomkSpeed
    TrendGear
    Motor Energy "DEPO"

Im wandering, for those of you with red/clears, what brand did you buy? Or did you just pick one?

The "DEPO" ones, i would think, would be the best bet, seeing as how DEPO is a reputable name. Or at least one that i recognize as doing good lights for our cars.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    I went with DEPO.
I bought them for $90 shipped off of eBay.
    No complaints what so ever.
No leaks in them at all, even after washing my car with a pressure washer.

The only reason i bought these over the cheaper ones was because they were the only ones that didn't require PayPal (I didn't have it at that time).
But, I'm VERY glad I bought these.

Thats what i was thinking. Was it am actual DEPO seller or like that Motor Energy that sells DEPO lights?

Yeah, theyre like $90 shipped. Thanks for the input.

I bought them from AceMotors700. But, it appears they are no longer a seller on eBay.

But, I looked at "Zomk Speed"s tails, they are Depo brand...

Yeah, they are. Hmm...and theyre $80 shipped. Are they required by DOT to have reflectors in them? Cuz i know the ones i was looking at, the Motor Energy ones, in their pic you can see the reflectors. Not sure why thats a big deal, but.. Lol.

I think i'll just look through them all and i have a feeling ill either end up going with the Zomk ones or those Motor Energy.

DEPO. I bought 2 sets at 2 different times on 2 different CB's.

            No complaints.

Again, as a precaution, I would put an extra thin layer of clear waterproof silicone to prevent any moisture from possibly getting in.

yeah, you must have red reflectors at the rear of your vehicle somewhere to be DOT legal.

Different lighting and angle in the different pics.

the makoto ones are pretty cheap IMO, at least compared to the set i have, which was from procarparts, not sure on the brand.

no matter what brand u buy.. i'd highly suggest doing a little silicone reseal just for precautionary measures.

Mike, i had thought about hitting up matrixracing or procarparts. Just to look. And those makoto ones did look pretty shifty.

If i cant find a good deal on matrixracing or procarparts, i may get the Zomk Speed ones.

My first set was from PCP.
They were discontinued for a while.
Best one on the market at the time.
The red never faded, never leaked, no complaints.
The new set i have i got from Straight Success, dont know of the brand.

                            Bought the Zomk Speed ones.

Said they were DEPO lights but i thought i saw something in the transaction about x3racing, so...maybe theyre the same company?

It took like 2 hours of paypal BS. We lost passwords and it was a huge mess, but we got it all figured out. Should be here in 3-5.
