black head light projectors from ebay?

Hey guys there are these 1 piece black headlight projectors on ebay selling for about $140 a pair. I was wondering if i should trust ebay and buy it off there or just go to a performance shop here and get it for $400. Like why is it so cheap on the net, it makes me wonder if its gonna be broken when i get it. what do you guys think?

the black housing headlights from ebay look better than they perform, same quality as performance shops just cheaper. i like the black ones iam either getting them soon (from ebay) or getting jdm one pieces. real jdm one pieces not knock offs. but ya go for it they look great. light output isnt so great but if ulive in the city its fine. if not just deal with crappy light output thats all.

Heres mine as said above theyt are horrable in the night unless you are in the city. they look good as hell thats why I want to keep them but im turning away from them to get JDM ones. http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...541_6_full.jpg

man..i'm gonna get me one of those jdm projectors too. i just saw them on ebay and damn it looks good! Is the jdm projectors light output any good?

no they suck ass when it comes to light output, the oem usdm headlights have far better light output

there are
u.s. oem headlights
jdm oem headlights
projector headlights
any of the above headlights with retrofits.

projector headlights are not considered jdm. refer to the link in my signature for more details on differences, light output, etc.

Well all black light housings sorta suck at night. They don't reflect projected light. Black absorbs simple physics 101.

that has nothing to do with it, I've had both JDM OEM Headlights (real ones) and USDM OEM Headlights both with black housing... light output is either A:the same, or B: better becasue it gets rid of all the scattered light that you get from the side reflectors...


the projector headlights don't use reflectors like what are in the OEM headlights at all, they are "Projectors" therefore the black housing is not the cause of the poor light... the fact that they are cheaply made and garbage is the reason the light output sucks.

if i remember correctly i first saw and got mine around summer of 01..

anyone know?
