    Hids?!

I was just looking at getting some Hids for my CB and was wondering which is better 35w or 55W? What has worked the best for you guys that already have Hids? And also what #K bulbs do you guys have?

I've been running 5000k's in a few different cars now, good medium between 4300k and 6000k

that little reference sheet isnt correct. once you get into 10k plus you start looking at purples and that is kinda misleading. 4300k has ALWAYS been my favorite and the one i have had the least problems with.

5000k is said to be pure white. i chose that because my car is green. blue lights on a green car don't look too great imo. if i had a red car, i'd go with 5000k also.

                    35w 5k.

I have the 55 watt but in my projectors that i retrod into my van. I honestly think that the optics of the reflector housing cant even harness the output of the 55 watt.

also alot of the 55 watt kits arent even 55 watt kits.

www.retrosolutionsllc.com is probably the best place customer service wise, then run for 90 bucks shipped and come with lifetime warrenty on bulbs and ballasts that are slim. I orderd from them many times, NO one i found warrentys bulbs for life.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
