    HID install

i just installed some HID's in my 92 coupe, and was wondering...i need a better place to mount my ballasts. right now, they are strapped in there with zip ties, so they're not going anywhere, but if anyone has installed HID's, where did you mount the ballasts? our engine bays are cramped, and theres not many places to mount them. any help would be great.

    THANKS

mine are towards the center and down, like right on the sides of the radiator under the bumper support.

Just curious if you guys can give everyone here a heads up on cost and how much time is invested in this conversion. I've read a lot of threads on this, as I'm sure others have too. But there doesn't seem to be many people who have done this on the cb7. Maybe if someone who has done this could do a write-up or give information that is cb7 specific, so some of us will have a better idea on how to do this.

i had an easy time. all in all, took about 45 minutes to install. all plug and play. only thing iv'e had problem with is finding a place to mount the ballasts.

          overall, i like the kit.

Man those things look bright as hell, or is that just the angle of the picture that was taken.

was that a hi/lo kit(dual beams) or just regular? And are you using the stock headlights? How about a pic of the cutoff.

you dont want to mount the ballasts near any moving parts as that will not be good if they happen to catch one day, also mount far away from liquid.. youl ruien the ballast and ignitor if wet..

VtekFreak: they are pretty bright...but it might also be the angle of the pic. but i'm rather happy with the improvement over stock.

pillypimpinit: the kit was from xenonfactory, and i got in on a groupbuy on a tiburon forum, for ~400 shipped (was really 401.70)

aero3685: its just a regular 9006 kit. it is the stock housing. i'll have a pic of the cutoff soon hopefully. you can sorta see it in the 2nd pic.
