I want to run drls on my jdm one piecers, but I want only the high to run, but I want it to run with city lights and lows on, and kick full power on when I apply the highs. any way this is possible with out adding another bulb? and is it possible with HIDs?

so you want city lights? or drl?
the HID will be just an HID.What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

you cant change the brightness of HID's
You can buy adjustable brightness HID's but it wont be significant.
But if you use a standard halogen bulb in the h1 high beam spot it is possible.
and to get it to run with the parking lights isnt a problem at all.
I have done the drl setup with high beam funtion as well as making the h4 high beam function at the same time. However I ran my drl h1 at full brightness, which wasnt much at all in the daytime. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. the drl system I used was the insight. But I dont know if it can be found anymore.
You can run the highs at half the brightness with a small capacitor, but then if you want to retain a full brightness when you hit the highbeams you need alot more wiring.
But like I said, in the daytime if the highbeams are on it doesnt bother people at full brightness. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
