    HID Retrofit Project

This weekend it looks like im going to try the projector retrofit that a few others of your have already done. So far I have:
    APC Projector headlights
    Valeo H7 D2S ECE Projectors
    D2S 4300 Orsam Bulbs
    Philips HID Kit

What else do I need to complete the project ahead of me. Also i have a question about adjusting the headlights or projectors. One of you talked about adjusting the shield but I have no clue about that at all or any way to adjust the beam except for adjusting the entire headlight itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated, if not i guess its a guess and check thing. Thanks

Glad to see you went with the ECEs As far as what else you need, an oven, time and patients. You adjust just like you would your regular headlight. About adusting the shield, it's all about getting the color you want on the cut-off. If you bend the shield just a little towards the inside, the side of the bulb, you'll get a nice crisp blue.

Sounds good. Hopefull it shouldnt take that long. Also there are only two mounting holes and what should i use to hold the projector in(will the original screws fit).

Did you guys with valeo projectors bend the shield at all for more color at the cutoff line? If so how much do you bend it or should i not worry about it and just leave them how i got them.

Yes the site works but it is hard to find out exactly what to do for our model cars. I know a few of you have done this project with the exact same products so it would be great if I didnt have to go search another forum for answers that arent to my car. Thanks

When you did your retrofit, did you bend the shield at all or did you leave it stock? I really dont want to do anything i dont need to for fear of breaking them and having to buy new ones.

I was looking at other APC Housing projector retrofits and saw in the pic that the cut off shroud was on the bottom. On my valeo's the shield is on the top. Didnt know if i was mounting it upside down. The two mounting holes are on the top and so is the cutoff. Is this right?

I have done the retrofit and its awesome. I have fun into a problem with one of them though cause the cut off is messed up. Its the passenger headlight and if you look at the picture you can see that there is a spot above the cutoff on the left side of the picture. Anyone know how to fix this or what could be causing it.
