Was the 9005 conversion really worth it?

I did the 9005 conversion today. I shaved the tabs and put the bulbs in. I had in sylvania blue-ish bulbs before. They are one model below the silver stars i think and I put in Philips 9005 blue vision and to me the light output is about the same no big deal. Is it just me or am I doing something wrong?
Did you guys notice a big improvement after doing this conversion or is it just a slight difference?

I did the same conversion to those blue bulbs...and i noticed only a slight difference..but i do like the output.

visibly, i dont think it made much of a noticable difference... but it was definately appeared sharper and brighter if you were looking at the headlights from outside of the car. at night, i could always pick out excalibur02's car easily because he had done it. it stood out from the other cars...

never really cared for the "blue" bulbs. but i've done this on my car. but w/ the stock bulbs. only bitch i have now is, when i hit my high beams, it dose not brighten up the surroundings much better then the new stock up-grades.

i liked the blue bulbs for a while but now when i see these bulbs, the blue bulbs didnt cut through the rain to well when it was wet out on the grown also

            do they last that long?
they weren't mean to be used as 9006 application and they have specific hours, especially those sylvanna ones.
can be costly if you have to replace them once or twice a year

Update on this situation: Well I played around with adjusting the headlights and well I do see the difference now. I am still using the phillips blue vision bulbs and they come out pretty white to me. But now my friend gave me a set of silverstars 9006 for free and I gotta put them in and see how they look compared to the 9005.
And Since I had these bulbs in I never been flashed I guess I have the adjustment right enough not to blind people and get the most light output.
