    cheap hyper white headlights

i have had a couple pairs of hyper whites i got from an import shop for $20, and they blow out after 6-8 months, has anyone else encountered this problem?

i like the hyper white look, but i'm not gonna blow 20 bucks every 6 months to have it

i had a set of high/low hyper white bulbs that i got off ebay for 30 bux shipped or somethin when i had usdm headlights...those things were sweet! looked great, had great beam pattern, and never blew up for as long as i had em. if u want to spend some extra money but want the hyper white look, get some piaa or something, im sure they would last a lot longer

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

i've had piaa for a while now w/o problems... think it's been close to 2 years now... they're around 50 or 60, but i think they're worth it.

btw, the alcohol on the bulb is not necesary.. only if you suspect you touched it.. like ztech said, but if theyre sealed they are fine..

Dont get bulbs over 5000k or with any heavy coating. you wont be able to see the road at all.. unless your going for looks then its ok.,

thats not a HID kit, thats a Halogen Lighting Enhancer.. it sends more voltage to the halogen bulb making it burn brighter, it also kills the life of the bulb and makes it run much hotter.. i dunno if those are even worth the money, a 9005 silverstar conversion would put out about the equivalent to that enhancer..

i'll tell u taht the cheapest way to get a white looking light without it blowing every 6 months is to get sylania silverstar line or whatever. ive had them for about a year and a half and they are pure white. They are nice and affordable, and long lasting, not like the cheap blue xenon crap out there.
