how do you know if a hid bulb is bad?
reason being is that i got a kit with one hid bulb. i have a set comming on the way but i wanted to test this one out. the bulb turns on and makes an arc sound and a little light glows in the bulb center, but thats it, only lasts half a second, and then it cuts out.
i have the ballast hooked up via relay to the battery and then the signal to the headlights (the way it should be).
im emailing the guy but im just wondering is that a case of a bad bulb/.
at the point where the arcs meet and supposed to light, that area is a dark patchy gray at the moment. kinda looks like a rock haha.

i tried both ballasts and ignitors did the same exact thing.
