i just got a pair of 6.5 audiobahn. i installed them on my 90 ex and needles to say they suck big time. i mean these spakers are retail $150.

ok here it is.

i tryed swiching the wires around and i hear no difference.

my headunit is a kenwoo.

so what the fuck is wrong with these speakers.

its like there is no bass at all.
they are the same as my 6.5 $20 priamind 2 way speakers.

mine sound good but i got them hook up to a amp....... there pretty loud

thats prolly your problem. Most component sets ONLY sound good with an amp.

i mean they sound shitty. there is no bass at all. the 6x9 pionieer in the back they do all the work. they are nice.

fuck i don't wanna spend $50 for an amp and another 30 for the wires. this sucks big time.

my bro has 4x 6.5 inch monsoon speakers in his car, and 6.5 inch speakers dont produce any base. my 2 6x9 kill those.


i've never heard 6.5's that give good base.... ever

front speakers are for voice and sounds ... rear + subs are for base

That is interesting. I would figure that your aftermarket headunit would be able to push enough power to those audiobahns to at least give a little bass. How old is your HU? I get bass out of my orion seperates but I have an amp hooked up to them. Low frequencies/Hz take more power to push than high end frequencies/Hz therefore you may just need an amp. An amp would actually help your whole system sound better anyway especially if you want to do it right.

yeah audiobahn isnt my favorite. i dont like them too much.

i would return them and get some nice kicker, or even top of the line kenwoods are good. check the eq's on your headunit too if you dont want to buy new ones
