wiring 2 amps + subs How do I?

    Okay Hi.

I just got finally got a Mono amp.

    Here is my setup.

    Alpine Headunit.
    Infinity Speakers
    Infinity REF7541A 4 Channel
    Infinity 611a Mono Amp
    Wiring
2 '12" Kicker CVR in box.

So How do I wire these suckers? DO i have to run another wire from battery to the trunk? or just get a splitter and run2 wires to each amp, then from the 4 chan to my speakers and the mono amp to my subs. ?

Get a power distributor block. You're going to run the power wire from the battery to the power distro, then from the distro to the amps. Make sure the main fuse is equal to the amp draw of both amps put together, and the distro should have individual fuseable connections as well. connect the grounds to a common point using a ring terminal and a bolt. Then you can splice the remote wire. The RCA's you can split too.

if you have 4 guage running in the car already, buy a distribution block that goes from one 4 guage to additional 4 guages. they have the common one that goes 4 guage to 8 guage but you want more than that. some people argue that you need zero guage but it depends on what both amps put out together. if one amp has onboard fuses at 80 amps and the other is at 80 amps then thats 160. i thnk 4 guage can handle that.

dont split the rcas. run 3 sets...front, rear and subs. even if your deck doesnt have the output for all 3 then later if u upgrade to one that does then you dont have to run another rca. plus you will have advantage of balance and fade as well as sub control individually.

run new rcas....i remember u had a ghetto pair before....you dont want a chance of engine noise this time right?
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

^ what accordztech said. i run 4 gauge from battery to distribution block. from the distribution block.. the 4 gauge to mono amp, the 8 gauge to 4 channel amp. 3 sets of rca's to head unit. spliced the signal wires together and ran it to head unit.

if i did it wrong then i dont know but everything sounds good, i found out how to do this online and havent ran into any problems yet.

might as well go with 4 guage to each amp. if the 4 channel can take it....wont hurt any....and looks bad ass haha.
