hmm.....i wouldnt know how to hard wire it to the fuse box. but if you use the cig lighter, the lighter should just screw into a little hole. if not, make a hole.
but maybe you could just cut the cord and run a wire from the rader to the battery? not sure if this will work, but it works for say if you have neons, and neons come with a cig lighter plug, so that works too. but you have to remove it so it doesnt ahve power when you turn the car off
or, you can do what i did with my neons with your radar. i ran a wire from the back of the cig lighter ot my neons, so maybe you can run a wire from the back of the cig lighter to your radar? i dunno, just some suggestions. someone back me up.

well if your gonna cut the cable and hardwire it dont run it directly to your battery! if im not mistaken the fuse is inside of the lighter plug and you could easily fry your detector, which is why you need to run the power to the fuse panel...as for the toggle switch, that would be easy to set up just place the switch wherever you want it and have it be interupting your positive lead

theres 3 spots on the toggle,
-power wicj is pos battery
-ground to chassis
-and accessoir wich will be radar,
so i think it would be safe to just hook it to that?? what ya think. that way if for some reason i do not want to use it i can just flip the toggle. thin this will work without blowing the radar? i mean it'll be grounded and such.

hmmm, that toggle sounds weird...3 parts to it? so if the positive and ground (negative) goto the toggle and there is a 3rd place to hook something up, how are you going to hook both of the wires of the detector (pos + neg) to it if theres only one spot for a wire? maybe im confused...but anyways as long as the power your getting it from is fused then your good to go, just dont take ever take power directly from the battery without installing a fuse

Yeah it will be fine. There is three spots for the light on the toggle to light up (it needs to be grounded). So the one marked acc goes on the decector and one to a 12v source. And ground the other to the car somewhere.Originally posted by 91accord4door
