    Braille vs. Odyssey

Hey guys. I don't know much about these batteries, but I was hoping to get one to reduce some weight as I am in the market for a new battery anyways. Any thoughts? My main concern is cold cranking amps. I drive my car all winter, so I need this battery to be reliable as well. The temp drops to -20C or -4F. Sometimes colder but rarely. Its gets as hot as 40C or 104F.

I have a odyssey. I had a braille.. I wouldn't use either in the winter. I know they make larger ones that would be fine in the winter but then you lose the weight savings. Run a normal sized battery for the winter.

Would you suggest an Optima Red or Yellow then? Or is there a good OEM style battery that is smaller in size like for a Civic or something?

Odyssey's can get really fussy in the winter, I run mine all winter long. I have to start the car everyday for best results, but it gets driven everyday, so it works out okay!

Weird thing is I was putting a tree limb that feel today in the woods behind my house. Looked down and saw my optima.. Forgot I tossed it in the woods because it was such a pos. Well I remembered it was a pos just forgot where I put it.

I don't drive my car that has the odyssey pc680 in it in the winter. But if I did id swap to a traditional battery for the winter.

braille batterys are fine during the winter only thing is that if it is left sitting for a week or a couple of days somehow the battery drains. I have a solution for that but its to ones own.... =)
either kill it or drift it...
