are they decent? theyre so cheap on ebay compared to vipers...what do you guys think? i only want a basic alarm, no 2 way, just keyless entry, shock sensor, maybe remote start...

I just picked one up at work, it's one of the prestige models 845 I think??? Anyways, I have alarm, remote start, and keyless and it works great. Range from the pager could be a little better, but it's not bad. I think as long as you go with the prestige series you should be fine.Originally posted by Aaron

hmmm...i was looking at used vipers like the 500-600 esp series but now i see that you can do a buy it now auction on ebay for 45 bux + shipping for an Audiovox Prestige APS255C which is brand new...so in the end they would both be the same price but one used one new...so audiovox is looking better, right?Comment

Just go with the audiovox, you'll be fine. The only difference is that the controllers are sometimes more fragile so if you drop them a lot they may break the plastic ring that holds them to your keychain. It depends on which controller you get since some are better than others.
