i always remove the faceplate to my stereo and take it with me, want to get a fuel pump kill switch and a ignition kill switch, i am redoing my system right now and will be placing the amp in the spare tire well, and running the wires to the box from under the carpet. hadnt thought about the strut bar thru the box.....interesting. does anyone know how much LoJack is? i really want it. I am going to also get a 2way page alarm. of course 3 different wheel locks will be on my rims...make the bastards work for it...im shaving the rear trunk popper...or relocating it. gettin a locking gas door, and still not sure if i want to disable the back seat latch, cuz i do haul some things in my trunk when i remove the system...
How about a big BOOOOO for people who steal shit????
    BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking of removing the trunk latch and use a door popper on the cable and I wanted to do the same with the hood. But I dont know what size door popper would work for the trunk to open properly. Any suggestions?

MMMM, I have no security at all, I dont even bother taking my face plate off... No alarms, no locking shit. I figure if someone wants something from your car enough, they WILL get it no matter what shit you got. Plus I live in rural hell where a car gets broken into maybe every MONTH in this town... crime rate isnt existant here

Oh, I have thought about an ultra high volt system, so wear if a door opens or window breaks when an alarm is on, BAM. Is this possible/legal?

OK guys let me try and answer all the questions.... and add some things....
Yes slame the car harder to jack up and most people who jack rims dont carry big jackes just bottle jacks for axles, Kill switches.. im setting up two types.. one thats a rocker under the shift boot so you would feel and just rock it on or off, and a set of 6 ((or any number)) metal toggle switches i made a solid metal box after wiring it and welding it and ran metal flex tube this is a single switch exagerated, the 6 toggles are on in diff possisions, ID ((up, down,up, up, down,up)) so its like a key if one is done wrong it wont start..takes too much time to steal it then((and dont make it a line, its more confusing to the brain if it sees circles or multiple lines)).. and for those who are serious as am i, my alarm unit is mounted next to the ECU under that metal plate with six bolts holding it down, Go to hardware store get the tubing needed for home electric wiring((metal flex tube)) all my wires are ran out in that to the center of dash then go out to its respective place((mounted also is a back up alarm)) TRUNK POPPER.. go the the junk yard Ford/Mercury mid size cars..IE tempo/Topaz the electric trunk pops on these are hella easy to get off AND perfect for hood, trunk and door poppers...this will let you shave the handles.. now we get into glass braking.. get a 'mic' for your alarm it detects the sharp pop that wouldnt set off a shock sensor, i added a prox sensor wich when people get too close to the glass it goes off,SO no lookin in my window or puttin ur hands threw my sunroof as its open... and get an interior siren, mine was called a mini piezo.. small like 2in by 2in HELLA loud pulsating ear piercing sound.. pull out dash bezel mount in center air vents where the two come together so loud they wont know where it is... and wouldnt want to stay in the car that long... if i think of more ill add..
BTW my hood opens backwards so they will be pullin on the hinges..and no pop from inside its four barrel style keys on the hood so they cant pull parts damn all that...
and ya the power switch for the airbag switchs is also hidden so they cant lift to help remove rims...
REMEMBER PEOPLE the best way to stop theft is to NOT HELP, no no leavin the face on the deck, dont leave a wallet or cell phone in site, AND DO NOT ADVERTISE UR ALARM MANUFACTURE..IE. crimestoper or what not, cause if its not a real good one they have flaws..like the cheep ones if they know its cheap they know pull the bottom blinkers out of the front short the wires all together and set off the alarm.. most alarms are not set right with fuses ((even ones that have them are too high)) so the short in the light actualy blows the power fuse for the WHOLE alarm.. if u want to advertise an alarm best thing to do is get one made.. little sticker for the two small windows in back...<<(((To page owner,Tap here))>>,<<((warning,165Db siren inside, will cause ear damage))>> , theres no hurt lettin them know that its not worth it.. and if they do set it off and they hear they might just believe theres more to it..

...no i have asked about the 'electric route' and no its not legal even though they are breaking in but this would cause harm and you can be held liable ... stupid i know... but there has to other ways..

Great tips! I've also done a few things of my own after talking with guys who deal with cars that are recovered after they are stolen.

One of the ways they get in is by prying up on the whole door handle which when done right lifts the door lock rod and door handle rod at the same time=unlocking and opening door. A common reason you see rust or a small indent under the door handles on many Hondas. So, I shaved the front locks after I got my pager alarm using rear door handles (how to in the DIY section) and removed the rods connected to the interior lock tab and key cylinder. This has already saved me once. I have a nice dent now under my door handle but they couldn't get in and my alarm went off so they took off without touching a thing. I'll take a small dent over losing my car and everything inside anyday.

I also removed the tabs and rods on the rear doors so they can't pry the window out of the channel and pull on the tab. I find the power lock switch harder to get at than the tabs so I assumed it was the same for theives. Also makes it pointless for thieves to break the rear quarter glass since they no longer have the tab to unlock the rear door which is also a very common way of entry. Of course, they can still pull on the power lock switch but I wanted something to control the locks from the inside. Now I have heard some places outlaw this since if you have an accident, they have no way of unlocking the door to get you out. I guess leaving the doors unlocked while driving will keep you from being burnt alive in your hard to break-in car if you have an accident LOL. Also have to make sure the battery doesn't die or you'll be climbing in through the trunk. When I store my car, I put one of the original handles back with the key cylinder rod so I can unlock it with a key.

I also plan on disconnecting the trunk release at the trunk latch and hooking up an aftermarket solonoid (connected to the alarm) which will still give me remote trunk release but with my alarm remote instead of the OEM handle. Like mentioned, the lock on the stupid thing is so easy to break, it's useless.

I don't about the tint thing since I feel 5% tint makes it stand out more and to me makes it look like your hiding goodies. But I do know with good tints that have good adheasives, it'll help to keep the glass from shattering easily so breaking the window to get in gets a bit harder.

Although the Club is useless when used by itself (no other antitheft device), it is another thing they'll will have to bypass to take the whole car so I bought one anyways. I also have hidden kill switches like mentioned in other posts. For parking in high risk areas, I put an inline fuse on one of the wires for the fuel pump that I pull out to keep the car from starting. Even if they find the kill switches, they won't have any fuses to pop in to get the fuel pump working. Might sound like I'm over doing it but better safe than sorry.

And even if you don't have an alarm, the easiest and free thing you can do (although it might be a hassle at times) is to not leave you faceplate or cells phones and even cigs (anything of value) anywhere in the car, make sure all amps and cd changers and wires are well hidden, leave the coin tray, center consoles, and glove compartments open to show you have nothing valuable inside. Some theives break in for small change.

Another simple thing to do that might seem a little extreme but would be to attach something to the doors that would keep them from opening on the outside. They could be bars that go through or around and under the sideskirts and literally hold the door shut. Then the only way into the car would be through the trunk, for which you should remove that fold-down latch, and breaking a window, but unless a theif is absolutely crazy, desperate and cracked out they prob. won't try to or be able to get into a window they just broke (unless they're contortionists) in which case all they MIGHT be able to get out is your H/U if they're fast.

Another MAAAAAAAAJOR thing to consider is that most theives steal when it rains. Everyone I know who's had something major stolen has lost it in the rain, including myself. It's a nice cover for sound. Be extra careful in the rain.

Was that directed towards me, or everyone in general? And what would they destroy? They're not gonna destroy a headunit, and I think putting a strut bar through the box is a good idea. If you're not welding stuff in your car I think it's wise to at least make it incredibly not worth the time to go through the trouble of getting out.

also to add most theives dont usualy make a profit on the sale of a box they want what goes in it if its worth it they will take the time to take the screws out of the equipment and leave the box in the car if they cant get it out

PRIMO, 4 kill switches, who did them? I'm interested in setting up something as discreet as per say the Cruise control button, and some other one. Can you help me or get me an installer?
Which fuse are you talking about? i cant find it.
And talking about kill switches, this kid at school has one where you have to press the ciggarete lighter.
