Dash Cams Anyone?

Been watching tons of dash cam videos on youtube, mostly in Russia since they all seem drunk,...lol JK!!!
Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you guys have one, either in your CB, or alternative vehicle. I`ve been thinking of getting one, never know when something could go down, and to have video evidence would be great.

My buddys youtube channels all their videos are with a gopro its pretty fun to have I even mounted it in my car a few times defiantly comes in handy

Thought about a GoPro, even bidded on ebay for one, lost...lol.
A Gopro has to be turned on and files erased manually.

Dash Cams turn on and record as soon as you start the car, they also automatically re-write over old files when memory is full. Some even record 24/7 or when a shock is sent through the car

They vary from $50 to $300.. I say a $100 should be a decent enough
camera to catch an accident or incident.

Auto power-on and auto re-write would be necessary.

Amazon has a bunch - I can't tell which are good and which are junk so I'm hoping someone will post a recommendation.

I have a $35 (shipped!) cheapie from Hong Kong in my car. It's not working right now, for some reason. Probably toast. Worked pretty well for a few months. Needed an SD card to work, and a 32gb SD card cost me more than the camera!

I had an issue with a douchebag off-duty cop a little more than a year ago, and a video of what went down would've made things much easier!

fish eyed HD hero scenes are all over! get some outside low shots and see the suspension working, or up in the dash. i was pondering putting one of those cheapie lipstick cams by the back glass, so it gets the whole view including driver, to a dvr. the hero 2s are really nice so the first gen ones are real cheap and great video quality still, theres a hack for them too outputting the live video and with some cheap r/c equipment you can broadcast the video (think grill cam) but it still has that internal memory too..

do you see lots of crazy shit driving around? some mornings going to work id like to have video rolling of retards going slow sitting in the passing lane, getting passed then driving all nutty to pass me again but im not too keen on recording my driving some days as it could be used as evidence muhaha

My camera occasionally doesn't record. I think it might not keep a recording unless it finishes the cycle (15 minutes is what I have it set to). I was mad, because a few months ago I saw two idiots racing around on the highway. I looked down for a second, and then I saw nothing but skid marks heading into the ditch... and people pulling over. Both cars drove off the road at over 100mph. When I pulled the memory card, it wasn't there

Id been so pissed not seeing it there after the anticipation. one time long ago going along the interstate i glanced up at the top of the on ramp where the street crosses over..just as I look up I see some old boat of a caprice or something like that fucking launch off the hill straight towards the highway, i was the passenger. lucily it was so fast and they were far enough to not be a threat. it was like a movie

oh another time, watching the rearview at a light the minivan behind me is chilling, out of the grassy ditch comes bambi, hit the asphalt and started skating, the line of cars were slowly starting to go, meanwhile bambi blasts headfirst into the side of the van, falls and its head is instantly crushed by the rear tire, legs flailing. that was like watching faces of death in a tiny widescreen tv
