ok guys i have a pioneer premier 750watt mono block amp wired to 2 alpine e10 series sub's in a ported box. im having issues with my subs cutting out when i get into the 130-140 db range. it's like they rattle something loose it comes back once it catches itself. but it's just annoying when it dose it. any suggestions i'll try to get a video of what it's doing it dosent do it all the time but yesterday it was annoying with it doing it on just about every song.

It sounds to me like your amp may be overheating and temporarily cutting out to cool down.
Has this been an ongoing issue or something that just recently came up?
Do you have the subs wired properly?
Did you check to make sure your amp ground was tight?
...and
but are you sure you are hitting 140db with that setup?

This also raised my brow.Originally posted by 5sp5drCB View Post...and

I used to have two Audiobahn 15" 2200w rms competition subs connected to two SPL 1600w Class D monoblocks, with a custom ported box and only hit 143db. My box wasnt tuned though. 140db just seems a bit high for this setup.
OP, I would check your wiring.92 Honda Accord LX - Sold

ty, i'll run it to my audio guy ad yes i was hitting 135db with 12db bass boost turned on with jeezy airforces it was not cutting out (clipping) i have went over all of my connections. my ground was made to never come loose i bolted then welded it in place i lost a very expensive rockford fosgate because it rattled my ground connection loose so i was not taking a chance. i did switch headunits i had a pioneer in it and swapped to an alpine.Originally posted by kapone View Postcould be describing "clipping" which in that case his amp is tuned wrong and he needs to lower the gains and match them properly to his head unit ....

Ya the ohm load is probably to low for the amp. But it should easily be capable of 2 I would think. And also if your going to get any louder around 150 db atleast in my crx the cd starts to skip so you have to take the radio out of the dash. And when are people gonna learn it's not the setup it's the box. KICKER KEVIN had 2 12's and a 1000 watt amp. I seen the guy hit 154 db's ok and the box was breaking apart. So that setup could very easily get into the 140's with the proper box.

on a sie note anyone use a second battery to run thier system im tired of dimming light's and i've been looking at farad cap's and i was told to buy a kenetik litheum battery to run my system. i was thinking more of running a better alt and getting 2 battery relocation kits and running dual batteries in the trunk 1 for car other for system. good idea or bad?

caps are shit.
Get a bigger amperage alternator, upgrade the grounds and the power wire going to the battery and alternator. Then let the system run and judge if you need a second battery.
Your audio system isnt killer so a good charging system and a good battery should supply the power. The battery technically acts as a capacitor and a poor old battery isnt helping for the dimming.
Also verify that you have a solid ground at your amp, not no sheet metal. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I agree with accord^ caps are very crappy. They don't hold a charge like a battery they restrict things more than help them. And I have done test to prove this. The best thing to do would be to run both batterys to the back and hook them up with short grounds. And also upgrade all your grounds under the your wire to your alt from the battery.

dont give the new woman much time. Pace your freetime with her. In a year she will expect more time from you than you are giving her now lol. So if you spend small amount of times now...you can manage it for years to come lol. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice.
