i got a 92 accrd ex sedan.. i'd like to install cd player, but how do i get stock cd player out.. and i heard i need to remove the shift boot and the center console.... help tips

i don't know why you'd have to remove the shift boot and stuff...i just popped out the plastic console thing that holds the cd player, not the entire dash console if thats what you meant. then you slide your stock cd player out, slide a new one in and plug it all in. if you have to cut any wires, just remember red is hot, black is negative...i always plug black in first, then red. and that should give the cdplayer power, then just match all the colors and slide the new deck it. it's easy. try not to break the console thing though, i broke mine and a new one is $15.

this car is a 5spd.. how are u suppose to take ashtray out with the shiftboot on it?

to take the shift boot off, you turn the shifter counter clock wise and take it off. theres a metal plates with 4 screws in it holding the boot onto the console beneath it, so reach under and unscrew those, then pull the boot out.

okay i got the 2 gold bolts out.. after a month and half of fighting and bitching.. now when i took the 2 gold bolts out.. i was excited and happy and shit.. but i notice.. hey 2 screws are out and nothing fell out.. not even bracket.. so i said okay.. then i started pullin on the stock radio wit cd changer below it.. it wouldn't move i was like wtf.. i was anger.. pulled it side to side.. yank it wit force didn;t come out.. what now?

remember i don't have an empty pocket below the radio its a radio wit a HONDA cd changer controls..(this is real JDM lol j/k)

how far along are you? there are 2 8mm bolts on the bottom of the stock radio have you gotten them out yet?
