    Damn wiring problems

Alright so I have this BS head unit from wal-mart with amp that I bought for $60. I am running it to the trunk to a 300watt Schoche Amp and then to 2 10 inch woofers. I think they are 150's, not sure. Anyways, they do not hit at all, there is no "meat" to them. At first I thought it was the box but then I switched the box to my friends car (also 300watt amp) and they hit plenty hard. Anyone have any ideas? There is some mega ghetto ass wiring in the car so that could be it....Could it be the head unit?

    Thanks guys,
    Adam

check the RMS of the amp, i bet its super low...u can play with the gains if u like...

did u bridge the speakers? check to see if the amp can handle that....if not it may only be able to push one sub

yeah dude id save up money for something better than walmarts stuff...at least bazooka or something else...hehe
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Do the head unit have sub out and if the amp don't have a crossover that's your problem

Aight I will, But I bought this system from my brother who had it in his truck (Subs and Amp) just switched it to my car and they are not hitting nearly as hard. So I am pretty sure it's the head unit. Yes, the head unit has sub out, I am guessing you are talking about RCA Inputs. Ok and what's a crossover?
