    Help with capacitor

I'm new to this capacitor stuff and I need alittle help installing it.

I bought a used capacitor and I wanted to know where I connect those two blues wires at the top. I believe it's for the power to the volt reader?? And how should I connect it to my amp and battery?

One wire goes from the battery to the top of the cap....This is the positive one. Then the the short blue wire from the positive side goes to the amps positive. Now the other blue wire is negative from the cap. This goes to the chassis ground. Then a piece from the amp to the negative side of the cap or to the chassis as ground.

did the cap come wiht a little tiny light bulb?? before u plug it into the car tap that light bulb (hold with pliers on the sides) to the battery and then to the main lead wire, the light will turn bright, charge up the CAP and then the light will dim, then you can attach the power to the battery.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Yeah I see alittle bulb inside the plastic top. It's a Stinger capacitor if that helps.

The blue wire on the positive side is much longer than the one on the negative side. Negative wire is only about 2 inches, thats not enough for me to connect it to a ground. Does it matter if I splice it to make it longer?
Also the blue wires look like their only 16-18 gauge, is that normal? cause I have 2 gauge wiring from battery to amp now.

instead of splicing, id go out and buy at least 2 feet of wire so that you can ground it. there is nothing wrong with splicing but i feel in my mind that you are killing some of the quality of the wire, unless u super solder the thing.

usually on the amps i see anywhere from a 0 guage to a 4 guage...never seen one that small....isnt the hole on the cap big?

Theres a plastic top where the voltage reader is. The small blue wires are comming out from under that cap.
I just dont understand why they had that small gauge wire for a 1 farad cap.
