    Help

I need helop.. i just installed a cd player.. and took out my changer and stock radio.. well anyways whenever i start the car.. all the settings resets.. and the clock is always at 1:00 right after i start it.. if i was to change the clock it would work but right after that the car is shut off.. its back to 1:00

theres 4 wires disconnected.. brown, orange, white.. and white with blue strip....(it was cut off the cd changer harness.. only way to get the harness apart from the CAR harness)

    i'll have pics later..

Sounds like the "constant hot" wire isn't connected. On most of the stereos I've installed, it was a yellow wire that went to a constant (unswitched) power source and that is what holds the memory. Is there a diagram on the top of the head unit that tells you what wires are supposed to be connected to? If you used an adapter harness, all of the wires are there.

yea the yellow wire... is fuckin up... its not connected.. the yellow wire on the harness ain't working.. so i took the yellow wire and hooked it to the yellow wire on the deck.. and also the red..idunno.. i have to look at it over..

so the yellow wire controls the clock? when the car is off? it keeps resetting..

if you are referring to the dash clock, no the yellow wire does NOT control that. the yellow wire controls the whole headunit. it should give it +12v constantly even when the car is off keeping the memory of the stations as well as the built in clock. wire that up correctly and you should solve your problem!
