    Alternator/Battery? WTF Already Searched

Alright what the hell. So I randomly pull into my driveway 2 nights ago and as my car idles down I see my lights get very dim, so I turn on the rear window defroster and they go WAY lower. So now when the door open sensor is on there is more of a "bleep" then a "beep". When I start my car it is more hesitant to start but still runs fine, and when starting you can see the dash lights are a little dimmer then they use to be. Is this alternator or battery? 170,082 on the Odom. No alternator switch yet.

If this is the alternator can someone supply me with a link to how to change it?

    Thanks,
    Adam

altenators are very easy to replace. the bolt's are a pain in the ass to get to but it is very easy. I can get you a used alt pretty cheap if you need one.

u can't charge an alternator...can u??? Take it to an auto parts store. They have battery testers and alternator testors. No point in guessing whats wrong just get straight to the point. May wanna check the battery connections to make sure they aren't corroded and also make sure the alternator connections are tight before you go off buying anything

I would think it is your altenator going out. Once you start the car the altenator is what runs your power the battery is really just to start the car. I would just take it to autozone and have them test the battery and altenator they can test it on the car.
