which speaker to pick?

Well i need to replace my front speakers in my accord. I dont have much money, and have been a fan of Eclipse for a long time. Though the bostons in the lude sound incredable, but they are high end bostons.

I had those exact boston's in my car at one point and they didn't sound too bad.

Go with the Eclipse, save 50 bucks over the Boston's, and have nice sound in the end.

Why would u want to install a pair of 5 1/4 when you can install 6.5 up front?
That will give you an ever better sound.

i was about to say that doesnt the accord take 6.5 in front and the lx dx takes 6.5 in rear and ex se take 6x9

go with pioneer i have pioneer 6.5 in front 2 ways and they are quality and sound nice for your buck

I've had the Eclipse 5.25 in my doors for about 6 years now. They still sound great and I've pushed them hard.

so wait, the accod can fit a 6.5 inch speaker in the front doors? wen i got the panel off it looked like it had 4 inch speakers in there. ive had this set of 6.5s forever and dint know they could fit in there. does it take any sort of fabrication to fit, or do they just go right in?

yeah me too i had 4" up front(92 ex-r) ended up boring the whole out and stuffing 5 something 2 way pioneers, somewhat dissapointed.

yeah on the ex's you would have to use either an 5in or rip out the little sound box thingy.

go 3 way front stage and remove the rears, use kick pannels and get the jl 3 way component system and run them off a 2 channel amp. if you have a sub just take out the rear speakers and let the bass pass through. this setup is incredible. im redoing mine to something similar.

get something with good midbass and seperate tweeters if you can
