first...welcome to the board...im helping you out because you live in the same area as me... 1st thing 1st...pioneer is garbage for mobile audio.....they fall in the same category as sony ...and there sony x-plode line..... if you think sony x-plode is a good subwoofer you have a lot to learn....
ive had personal experience with the pioneer amps..and learn they like to quit.

2-- check the settings on your amp...there is usually a dial which you can use to change your frequencies ....so you want your fronts to run at a certain frequency and your back to run at a different but overlapping frequency..therefore all ranges are hit

3= where is your subwoofers @? ill sell you mind if your intrested... in an alpine type r 12'

i have the exact same problem with my stereo (i have a deck and pioneer all around) If i turn the fade more to the front, it gets better, but then the rears lack bass...

            This will solve your problem

            disconnect your back speakers
put a component set in the front (amped of course)
have a set of kick pods for your mids

I've had 2 Xplode head units and never had a problem with either of them, now for their speakers and sub I have no idea..never owned them..

I agree with 92CB7accord putting components in the front and "amping" them with a good amp will solve youre problems! I had same prob, made kicks, put in comps and hooked em up to a rockford 50Wx2@4ohm, nice! Now so that in the rarity I have rear passengers I am installing 4" rf coax in custom pods! Check out my Sounddomain! Peace! PS. IMO pioneer doesnt suck especially not premier! Have you ever heard there poly kevlar comps! To die for!

this is the same guy who berated me week before last for mentioning that rear speakers are useless...now he wants to take my idea and make rear pods for speakers...funny, isnt it??

ok, look for the post that i started called "rear fill"
this will answer many of the questions you have..to give you a very basic rundown on it...
at a concert, all of the sound comes form in front of you...so why amp your rear speakers? doesnt sound like such a good idea now, does it?
also, oval speakers (6x9, 4x10, etc.) do not make "pretty sound" sounds stupid, but its true, the non-round shape doesnt make perfectly reproduced sound waves, so it is better to amplify round speakers 4", 5.25", 6.5" rather than an oval speaker.
also, the front stage (your front speakers and how they are directioned and tuned) is much more important for sound quality than the rear speakers...same concept as being at a concert, if the speaker is facing your face, it is going to sound better than a speaker that bounces off the rear glass before bouncing into the windshield and then bouncing all around until it reaches the driver's ear...also, you need to amplify your front speakers before you amplify your rear speakers..unless you drive from the rear seat, which you prolly dont for obvious reasons...
sq isnt about loudness...also, you cant turn the bass all the way up and expect a mid-woofer to produce bass frequencies, so quit cheaping it and go get you some 8s or a 10" sub and get it amplified, and just run your speakers off of your head unit and fade the sound to the front, until you can afford to properly amplify your front speakers and invest in a good component set of speakers...any more ?? just PM me..

noh22forme, reverse the polarity on one of the front speakers. doesn't matter. just changed the + and -. Switch it around. See if that helps. If that is the case, you were out of phase and that will rob you a lot of output.

I wouldn't exactly go that far. They have lower line, but their mid and upper line are not exactly garbage.

                              always remember;
garbage in.. garbage out.. and 99% of the time, you'll get what you pay for..

you mentioned that you have 4s in the front.. is it mounted at the stock location? if so, i believe that has to be a 6 1/2.. although you can use your 4s, it should be mounted with spacers to fill in the gap for it to sound right.. futhermore, you won't be able to get the sq of the stock set-up unless you have a high end 4s that is ofcorse amped..
