you mentioned that you have 4s in the front.. is it mounted at the stock location? if so, i believe that has to be a 6 1/2.. although you can use your 4s, it should be mounted with spacers to fill in the gap for it to sound right.. futhermore, you won't be able to get the sq of the stock set-up unless you have a high end 4s that is ofcorse amped..
are you saying that pioneer is garbage...? i agree with whoever said it, pioneer makes good speakers in the better ranges you may have to pay more for them, but they get good and loud and have nice crisp highs...good enough to be my rear fill...

good idea...amping should be the stuff that you directly hear...if teh comps are pointed at ur head, then amp them, they make a straighter path to your ears, and the sound is cleaner..

What you guys are all failing to realize in this thread is 70% of sound quality is setup. I know people that can have what are considered Awful speakers and amps, but if they are setup properly and aimed right they can sound just as good if not better than good speakers in a poor setup. Setup is key. I am not saying get bad speakers btw, I am just saying try different things with the same first. Also. Another problem with lack of midbass is they doors are not sealed off inside. Make sure and get some deadener and seal the insides off

I just picked up this old school Fosgate 800a4 amp to power my infinity components upfront, should i also hook up the rear eclipse woofers?

ive had personal experience with the pioneer amps..and learn they like to quit.

2-- check the settings on your amp...there is usually a dial which you can use to change your frequencies ....so you want your fronts to run at a certain frequency and your back to run at a different but overlapping frequency..therefore all ranges are hit

3= where is your subwoofers @? ill sell you mind if your intrested... in an alpine type r 12'

Sony basher! lol Albeit that the cheap sony =xplode line they make these days are crap but when I bought my sony es comp series 12" 3 years ago it pounded the shit out of damn near anythin it went against. Damn hater.

depends on how the front stage is set up..
if you have the front amped in pods...no
if you have the front amped in doors...sure, y not if you just have to have it(or you can run rear fill off of your head unit), but use the head unit to fade to the front speakers...and invest in some good pods..
