What kind of cd player do you own? I had similar problems with my old alpine.

    93 accord lx (auto )

sounds like your shit is real real cold. Mine does that in the winter, but only if the car has been sitting for a while. Other than that, you might wanna check your 12 volt constant to make sure the connection is fitted properly and not loose.

did u just install it or was it working fine before?

did u solder all the wires or at least secure them?

usually that would mean something is loose
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

It's most likely the ground, I had the same problem with my pioneer deck and I took it to best buy cause it was under warranty and it was just the ground and I felt stupid as hell cause I coulda fixed that myself without having to set an appointment and driving 30 mins just to wait even longer

P.S. Screw Best Buy's stupid audio team

which model do you have? I have one of the dual face ones, and whenever the face gets to full extention, my cd player shuts off and closes, and keeps repeating that cycle. I temporarly solved the problem by keeping the face shut, but i lose all features of the unit. I think it has something to do with the wire that connects the second face, I've heard many pioneers, even the single face ones having the same problem. Thier wires just go bad and you need to get new ones.

I had a similar problem with an alpine single face, but sometimes what happens is, since the face was motorized everytime I switched CDs and the face kept folding out it became loosely detached from the CD player, all I had to do to fix it was detach the face and put it back on, it happens every so often.

Ouch...well you gotta understand, when someone installs something for you it shouldnt mess up within a day or two, when stuff like that happens there's really only two fair assumptions, faulty product or bad installations, I just took the safe way and assumed both.
