I need to plug in my rca wires to the back of my head unit. How do i get back to it? Do i have to take off the whole dash, if so how?

you dont have to take off the whole dash....could just take off the black thing surrounding the radio and climate controls and such (im not sure if thats wat you meant) to do that theres screws all over the place hidden behind the dimmer switch, cruise control, coin tray and lots of other places....i dont even think that you need to take that all the way off to get the radio out but when i changed my radio i was paintin the black thing ne way so all came out....and search man im sure this has been covered before.

Be very careful if you don't want to break the frame around the a/c controls. There are screws all over and you can mistaken them as push in clips.

Couldn't of been done without you guys

what headunit do you have? if its stock theres not going to be a place to plug em in. if its aftermarket if should have come with some keys that you usually slide on the sides on the unit which will unclip it.

If you have an aftermarket radio in there now as you say you do.You do not have to take apart the dash. It will be "can" mounted all you need is "keys" to pull it out. Depending on the kind of radio you have get the keys for it. They came with the radio or you can ask a shop for them.

you do not need to do that go to some car audio shop and see if they have the keys of ask them if they will pull it out real quick. You are wasting your time.

this is what it will look like. this is not an alpine key but they are pretty much universal

Take off the face of the deck and then take off the trim ring. Thats the little black ring that goes around the face and is on the deck when the face is off. Now you should see a little slot at both ends of the unit. Now you can get a piece of metal or something thin and long, long as in around 4 inches. And push it into the slots then pull the unit gently and it should come out. If you cant find any of the metal things that looks like the keys you could get by with 2 paper clips, Just straighten the clips and stick then in the holes to the side of the deck.
