HELP ME!! I screwed up >_<

Ok, for the stupid thig- I got a new cd player (Kenwood cd-r/mp3/wma player for those that want to know) I got the stock deck out fine, then wired up my new deck to test it (it was late and I just HAD to hear it) So I just did the twisty thing with all the wires, without covering them so too many things touched, there was a spark, and the deck shut off. The car itself is fine, its just that I blew the wiring to the radio (the igniton wire, the battery wire, or the ground wire) and the radio fuse. Replaced the fuse, but now I just have to rewire the damn thing. Can anyone help me? Anyone got a DIY on it?

lol patience man we all need patience.. if the radio went out im assuming the radio fuse and the fuse for radio under the hood also went out.. turn ur key to the on position if the clock doesnt work then u blew the fuse under the hood as well.. replace it.. then rewire everything correctly... im sure u didnt burn up all the wires so try to cut whatever is left burnt.. and start off again.. rewire it slowly and WRAP THAT SHIT UP

Nope, all the fuses are fine I looked at em all. Got it narrowed down to (at least) one of the wires to the radio... Hehe, it looks ghetto as hell right now tho.

Oh and I got wire conectors, so that wont be a problem anymore.

check the dome light fuse...if you have a light tester see if there's power going into the deck...if there is then your blew a fuse in your deck...if your deck doesn't have a fuse...then you just blew your deck up...

The deck works fine, I brought it back to the store and they got it to work, so its gotta be something in my car. Checked out both fuses (by the pedals and under the hood) and both radio fuses were blown. So Ive replaced those, but I havent had the time to check and see if it works yet... Stupid 5 page government paper...

Well, I got everything fixed. Turns out I blew BOTH fuses for the radio (the one by the driverside kick panel and the one under the hood. Replaced those, got quick-disconnect wire connectors, hooked everything up and it works just fine. Thanks for the tip about the other fuse. It wasnt the fuse you mentioned but it was in the same place and I wouldnt have thought of it (at least not this soon) otherwise. cb7tuner.com saves my ass again

I think i did sumptin similar

Well first off i me and my friend were trying to hook up neons through the radios power and ground wires in the back, we tested one of the neons and it lit up. Then a a few moments later the neon just shut off and never came back on. When we tried turning on the radio it didnt turn on. Now it only turns on when you press the display button and thats only for like 3 secs then it shuts down again. When i disconnect and re-connect the radio harness in the back you hear the cd thing move so to me thats a sign that its gettin some sort of power, but iuno what to do. Also when i went to plug in my radar detector i found out that that thing doesnt work, but the green light thats around it lights up.

I would really appreciate it if you can give me your imput on what to do
And what exactly is the name of the fuse on the kickpanel all i saw was the radio antenna fuse i guess it looked ok

same thing just happened to me. I can still get power to the old radio, but when I hook up red (power) and then ground to the new deck it doesn't work. Maybe the fuse under the hood is blown b/c the power seatbelts don't work. I made sure all the fuses inside the driver seat well are good. Any reason to think why I can get power to the old CD player and not the new deck? BTW, this is a 90 Accord DX.

                    Thanks,
                    Chris

                      Problem fixed

I bought a fuse checker to get rid of the guess work and found out that i had blown my radio antenna fuse which was located on the left kick panel next to the hood switch. After replacing the fuse everything worked fine
