Where to put 6" aftermarket speakers up front?

hey guys i need some suggestions on where to put 6" aftermarket speakers up front, the stock door location the window hits the magnet....its a 2 door LX, i was thinking kick panels but shop asked $500 for 2

you make a mdf bump out.. what kind of speakers? and they hit the window or the plastic basket.

or make your own kick panel (need fiberglass skillz)

get some q-logic kick panels..they shouldnt be anywhere close to $500

Take em back and buy some thin speakers, its not worth the money you'll pay gettin em put in, cause even the Q logic is expensive.

Go to your local Honda dealership and ask them for the speaker enclosure for the doors. It will upgrade you to 6 1/2" I got them just waiting for time to install them...

i took the plastic basket out, they would never make it into there, the when the window is all the way down it hits the speaker magnet, is it hard to make ur own kick panel? Any DIYs on the net?

I think its more time consuming than difficult. There are plenty of diys out there esp. on car audio forums.

my bad...was just figuring what I am doing for my ride....

im not bashing, im just saying that it wasnt the diameter of the speaker that didnt fit, the mounting depth was too much...
