Has anyone heard any JL speakers...im looking at getting the mids and tweets for the front, and i'm wondering how they'll sound.

Right now im running a Pioneer Deck, Concept 6.5's Pioneer Amp (300 watt max ) and 2 10" Fusion Subs, and a lot of old gear just kickin around from swaps,

Yes i know i have to upgrade, haha...i was looking at the fusion johnas amps they look mighty good, 1000 for the front and 1500 for the subs or something along those lines.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be appriciated.

no i really mean 1000 for the front...thats 1000watts on a bridged amp...thats actually going to be divied up into 4 so its probably only going to be running somewhere around 200 per side

Fusion? They make amps too? Can this fusion amp even take being bridged and if you bridge the amp and split it up into 4 that means you are only running ONE channel through all the speakers.

And another thing, they JL components are good but which model are you looking for? There are also CDT, Diamond, Rainbow, Infinity, MB quart to look for also. But whats your budget on the speakers?

you are going to divide a 1000w bridged signal up into 4? umm, that wouldnt be 200 for one thing...not to mention you need to worry more about learning the basics before you go do something stupid...

No no no...its a 4 channel amp...but if you needed to for whatever reason you can bridge it into 2 or 1...haha and as far as my budget the jl's i was lookin at im not sure what model number but they were going for 300 for a pair of 2.

ok, regardless of your obvious ignorance in wanting to run a 4 channel amp double bridged...you still arent going to find speakers that can handle that kind of power..

I have no intent in running it bridged, and that is MAX power, i also do not intend on cranking the gain on the amp...and the fusion series speakers that i was looking at, (powerplant) are rated at 250 Max....now i dont know how bad my math is, but im pretty sure 4x250 still = 1000...but all i asked was one simple what do people think of JL...if you want to send some input great, if not dont post that crap, its not needed.

you know if you run the speakers at their max power rating, they will blow. Ne way to answer your question, I believe you can find better for cheaper since alot of jl's products are overpriced,but i haven't heard them so i wouldn't know.

Yes i do know...thus why i stated that i will not be running the gain cranked...an amp running at half its power is going to sound better than a smaller amp running full out all the time...and thank you...maybe i will just get all fusions to make a set.

JL is expensive but you get what you pay for right? They have quality products that last and are real effing good U should buy it
