Help Car Alarm

Does anyone know how to hook up a Car alarm to an 91 Accord Im really low on funds since im getting the tranny swap but need a alarm to be safe

Do you have a keyless entry system on there now?

Well i did my viper 690vx my self, but it helped because i already had most of the components there from my DEI keyless entry, its not too hard, first of all you need a good place to mount the logic unit "brain" there is also a installation manual available from the alarm manu, but that does not go into specif on installing into your car. I mounted the shock sensor into the compartment under my steering wheel, and of course you put the led wherever, apply power and ground to the unti, and ignition power for ign controlled locks, and of course connect to the lock actuators, i did this by connecting to the wires already there, if you look in a repair manual for your accord the wiring diagrams for the stock alarm are in there and thats how the installer found where to connect the alarm to to unlock, etc.

but ofcourse, i am sure someone else on the forum will know alot more about this than me, but thats just what i know

Just the alarm this system dosent come with remote start

from the diagram:
black wire- ground it somewhere under the dash
Red- tap the constant wire located somewhere in the ignition harness(can't remember the color...pm accordztech for the color...i gave him a tech off on it)
Green-tag your power unlock
Blue- tag you power lock
Brown is your siren, feed the wire out to the hood
white- i think one of them are your parking lights....not to sure
don't really see a starter kill wire...nor a door trigger wire....thats all that i can think of at 8 in the morning hope that helps

and don't forget to test your wires in the car before you tag your alarm into it...cause it might be the wrong wire and you might get into serious trouble

where are the power lock and unlock wires located?

Power Lock/Unlock Wire Location

They're underneath the carpet when you lift up the driver's kick panel among all of the main jumble of wires wrapped together.

Power LOCK- Black/White

Power UNLOCK- Black/Red

Whats food break switch?
Engine Cap?
Iginition Coil? Positive or negative?

OK i hooked up most of the stuff and yeah it works but im only getting one tone and its suppose to come with six

Do you have some kind of programming book/ manual that came with your alarm? That could be one of your options to set up.

OK when i tap into the power lock and open di i just cut them and then tie all 3 together/.

your just tapping the lock...if you cut it in half...reconnected it
