ok after having my remote start for about 8months it seems like the remote function is lagging power to start the car. when i hit the button twice i hear the car turn ova then it goes off, if i do it again it will start right up, b4 i would just start right up and run off of two pushes. what can cause this lag, anyone else have this problem?

it might just be the car needing to crank over longer then what the remote start is programed to crank for. Remote starts are programed to only crank for a short time and if you car takes a while to turn over its just timing out and the second time it tries it its just like turning the key the a second time after your car wont start and it fires write up.
I don't know what unit you have but audiovox remote starts can be reprogrammed to crank over longer. If you had a shop install it id take it back and see if they could reprogram it to crank a little longer.
It could also be they wired it up wrong because there are 2 ignition wires (black/yellow and white/black) and one is a dedicated cold cranking wire. If both aren't hooked up when its really cold out the car will be hard to start.

And the shop should of hooked up tach and it will auto learn.. take it back and have them look at it.Originally posted by Chaos_CB7it might just be the car needing to crank over longer then what the remote start is programed to crank for. Battery WHITE (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition 1 BLACK/YELLOW (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition 2 WHITE/BLACK (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Accessory 1 YELLOW (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Starter 1 WHITE (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Key Sense BLUE/WHITE (-) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Neutral Safety GREEN/WHITE (-) AT GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH
Tachometer BLUE (-) AT IGNITION COIL
Speed Sense ORANGE (AC) IN HARNESS ON PASSENGER SIDE OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT
Parking Lights RED/BLACK (+) AT VEHICLE FUSE PANEL
Brake Lights GREEN/WHITE (+) AT SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL

Power Lock black/white - lower drivers kick
Notes: Locate the large harness in the lower below the carpet in the drivers kick panel. Near the foot rest you will notice a piece of blue tape attached to the harness itself. Reach around to the underside of the blue tape to locate a 2 pin gray plug with the lock and unlock wires attached to the plug.
The station wagon uses green/white for lock and yellow/white for unlock. These wires are found either in the drivers door harness or under the rear seat.

http://techservices.audiovox.com/ look it up man
what are you talking about a tach tool for you set the tack with the program switch. Whatever you install is completly diffrent from everything iv every seen.
^ you have no clue wtf you are talking about
thats right man the only way to disarm an alarm is to push the disarm button. if you unlock your doors with the key i guess you will have to lisen to the siren. If you want to talk shit say it on the write thread.

I have a Huatai HT 800 with more than I need...when I go to use the remote start feature...the remote transmits that the car has started but when I look at the car...everything happen (seatbeat, battery, oil, fuel pumb engages) but the car does do anything. Everything else works alarm, auto door locks, pedal switch, etc)
I left the starter kill relay off to see if that was the problem...but that didn't solve it
not sure where to connect the one that say (+ air condition) located at the very bottom right of the diagram next to the wiring of the remote start
Here is what the diagramming looks like

ok you took the relay off but did you put the starte wire back together and do u have the right starter wire black/white, that air condition wire is the yellow one on the main harness. if that doesnt help try and see if the alarm isnt programmed to diesel wait to start.Originally posted by GtseviperI have a Huatai HT 800 with more than I need...when I go to use the remote start feature...the remote transmits that the car has started but when I look at the car...everything happen (seatbeat, battery, oil, fuel pumb engages) but the car does do anything.
