    CD player stopped working

Hey guys, I just got an Addzest DMX750Z double-DIN headunit and I plugged it in the day I got it to test it out(I didn't physically install it though). It worked fine then but now after I've got the dash out and put everything in it doesn't want to power on at all. All my other lights are good and the radio fuse under the hood is still good. When I got the radio it came with a harness that had fuses on the yellow wires but I've never seen that before. There was also a black box inline with one of the yellow wires too. I didn't use those because I used an aftermarket harness that was designed for my car. I don't want to say definitely that removing those is causing my problem because it worked before when I first hooked it up. Any one have any suggestions as to what those could be or what else could be wrong?

Well now it's night-time and I found that the lights on the CD player are working but still no power. It did have an auxilary box that powered the lights so I know that is what's keeping the lights on. I'll try soldering those fuses into the harness whenever I take the dash out again to see if that works.

OK as of today it wants to work intermittently. It keeps shutting off and once I get it back on(by a miracle) it asks for a system check. I think I'm going to take it to an audio shop to see if they can figure something out but I hope they don't give me any crap about not knowing how to work on it because it's Addzest. But basically since it does work sometimes I've ruled out the fuse being an issue. It's got to be the internal. If I soldered the harness wrong it wouldn't work at all right?

not correctly splicing the wires isnt too bad, since youll just be missing connections... so youll have broken speaker connections and certain speakers wont work, or a power line isnt hooked up and it wont turn on at all.

being intermittent, it sounds internal... even if you mixed up the wires, most of the connectors coming from the car are non-powered output wires, only a couple could cause issues... so if you have a power source hooked up to a speaker output, who knows what that would do... id check and double check to make sure the wires are matched up properly (maybe find a second wiring guide on the net somewhere as a double-check) then add those fuses and stuff back into the harness. if youre still having problems, then idk.

If it does turn out to be internal then what are my options as far as getting it fixed? I could always just tell the guy I bought it from the problems I'm having but I'd like to keep it. The Clarion dealer here is incompetent. Can I send it somewhere?
