key less entry + shaved door handles + switch kill + 2 way viper = the shit lol, honestly just shave your door handles that way it looks more hard to steal lol :P, most people don't know that so they assume your car is safe as fuck?

You have been defeated by a car with child locks, how embarassing...

yeah no shit if they really wanted it they would just bring a tow truck, making a starter kill useless. however an alarm would help keep away some punkass 15 yearold looking for a joyride.

Whenever I hear an alarm, I don't even look to see what's happening. I just hope it stops making noise soon! Of course, that's only when it's not my alarm going off

A car alarm will scare off most amateur thieves, some when they see the light flashing, others when they do enough to set it off...
A serious, knowledgable thief can disable an alarm quickly enough to not draw too much attention. If they really know what they're doing, they make sure the only person who would respond (the owner) isn't around to do so. If a thief sets off the alarm for 10 seconds, disables it, and 30 seconds later gets the car started and drives off, no neighbor is going to be suspicious. As far as they know, you accidentally set it off, hit the button, and drove away.

Alarms deter the good people, and the amateur idiots. Thankfully, we drive cars that the REAL thieves rarely target anymore. The parts from our cars don't fetch enough money anymore to really make them worth the risk. Even an H22 swap isn't quite as desiarable anymore... especially since the authorities have wised up to stolen engines.

an alarm helps though, bottom line, someone is probably going to get a little more nervous about taking there time to get anything when you've got "WHOO WHOO WHOO" in your ear... plus all the cool kids have keyless entry, you should too!

alarms work, i remember just before the summer, me and a buddy went to the mall, parked in the underground parking lot like 3 floors down where the parking security rarely goes. came back at 1 am after the movie, the 3 cars to my left and 2 cars to my right all had smashed windows and decks gutted, my car, completely left alone. 2 of the guys whos cars were broken into were there and they even said they wish that they had an alarm. checked the other cars, not one of them had an alarm.

or, just find the most expensive car you can find in a lot, and park beside it, hopefuly the thief will target the expensive car instead of yours

Think like a thief. If a car has layers upon layers of security would that theif waste more time getting that car or move elsewhere for an easier target? An alarm is going to help somewhat. Its fairly easy nowadays for an amateur to break into a car, heck I can even teach my mom to do it. Any security system can be bypassed (although I recommend the Ravelco but that only prevents starting of the engine). If you are afraid of your car being stolen and are paranoid like me about theifs you can get an alarm system, few switches in series connected to the fuel pump, few dummy switches, a battery kill switch in the engine bay (soon to install in spring), take out your ECU, boot up your wheels (I suggest atlease 2).

Are Supras that high of a demand for theifs? Seems more trouble then is by taking off the door handles, fishing the wires through the door and to the alarm relay/module. Oh and its illegal to boobytrap your car. I personally think that theifs should deserve it but the law disagrees with me. I dispise theifs. They owe me a black interior.
