I'm new to this whole system thing, but i about to buy a few things so to start my 1st one.
This is what i might get:
A Sony XS-L121P5 12" subwoofer handles up to 350 watts RMS, and works well in sealed or ported enclosures.
Key Features:
five-sided polypropylene cone
rubber surround
frequency response 18-2,000 Hz
power range 90-350 watts RMS
peak power handling 1200 watts
sensitivity 89 dB
top-mount depth 6-5/16"
sealed box volume: 1.0 cubic feet
ported box volume: 1.58
and for the amp:
ROCKFORD FOSGATE RED 201S TWO (2) CHANNEL AMP
The SPECIFICATIONS are as follows: 50 Watts x 2 @ 4 ohms RMS,
100 Watts x 2 @ 2 ohms RMS
, 200 Watts x 1 @ 4 ohms mono RMS,
600 Watts Mono peak,
80 hz crossover high/ low pass,
12db per octave crossover,
High level inputs, and Cast aluminum heat-sink
I own a 92 4dr accord, will this do any damage as far as electrical, i mean i dont think it will its not like its pumping thousands of watts but i'm curious before i start purchasing anything.
Also what gauge wire do you recommend 4 or 8?
Thanks again

as far as ampz stick to the rockford line there good and they push more then they say they do, wires 8 gauge should be fine for up too 400 watts if u plan on pushing more move up to 4
