Antenna going down when trunk opens?

Hi i have a question b4 my antenna used to go down automatically when i popped the trunk, but after honda changed my antenna about 2 years ago it hasnt done it since, so everytime i pop the trunk i have to make sure that my radio is turned off, do any of you know how to get it back to the way it used to be?

Must have had some faulty wire or connection somewhere and the arms that hold the trunk on must have interfered with the connection somehow when they would move (trunk open). If you want to control the antenna somehow besides turning off the radio, you could install some simple switch in the remote line from the radio so all you would have to do is flip a switch and the antenna would go up and down with radio still on.

The Antenna going down when the truck is open is controlled by a relay that came as a option with the factory spoiler, so you wouldent be so inclined as to break your antenna, i found this out when i was at the dealer and looked through the cato of all the options that you could have bought, replace the relay and the antenna will go down when the trunk is open, of course, if you have a broken mast like i do, and are too lazy to fix it, then its pointless anyway : P

where to find this relay?

I have a 91 accord SE with a factory spoiler, the power antenna doesn't even want to go up, I think it is the relay on this, I have been looking for it online but not have any luck finding it on the web. I have also looked at www.hondaautomotiveparts.com but they don't even show it on the digram. Does any one know where I can buy this relay? I am going to try the dealer this week to see if I can get that relay.

I wrote up a DIY on how to wire a switch to the antenna. Mine works perfect and am really happy with it.

When I am cruising on the highway I just keep the antenna down and listen to CD's. I love it
