    Security system..is this a decent setup?

    Well, Iwent to best buy today, since today is my first day off in weeks. I was in search of a security system for my 92 ex coupe. I got my insurance rates..sumthin like 23-2400 dollars a year..not good at all. So, with a security system, it will be like 5% off, so why not? I saw a black widow system, with keyless entry for 40 bux extra, bringing the total to 150. I also saw an audiovox system with remote entry for 190. They had vipers, but at 400 bux, I think not. I don't need the best of the best, and they all do the same thing. I found a remote start too, for 150 bux. But, I have a manual, so I think I will skip that..nice for winters, but not that nice. Anyways, is audiovox nice? or, is black widow better? they need to install a motor for the passenger lock, since the locker works on both doors, but only for the driver's door, so the passenger one gets a new motor..80 bux. I figure I could do it myself, but I never have time...at all. and, since htey would be in there, I would jsut have them do it. I would like to know soon, which is better..it will cost around 300 bux..but, within about 2 years, pay itself off...

    Audiovox = Junk

    I would go with the black widdow ove rthe audiovox any day. If you are looking for a decent system at a good price, I got mine at Best Buy. Its an Avital (made by clifford) and clifford is a good brand. Anyway... I got the alarm with power locks and 2 remotes for like $220 installed. Nothing fancy, but its a decent $220 system. Hope that helps

        anything avalable from chain stores will usualy be crap if your just doing it to tell your insurance u have a alarm then why not but if your in the market for security then chain stores are not your best bet, i would suggest a comp-star or autostart
